Who is Dolores?
Dolores is a Human Resources manager for the Galactic Empire in Star Wars.
How did Dolores get started?
Dolores joined the Empire immediately following Sheev Palpatine’s speech establishing the Empire.
What does Dolores do at cons?
In the beginning, I would randomly cite people that didn’t see it coming!
As the bit got more popular, I realized not everyone might want to play along, so these days I primarily cite people that I know are fans of the Dolores bit. Or, if I see a fun cosplay, I’ll ask them if they would be willing to goof off and get cited. Occasionally, if there’s a very gregarious cosplayer that clearly wants to goof off with anyone and everyone, I’ll approach them without any warning, but that is very rare.

Where has Dolores appeared?
I’ve heard from multiple people that they’ve met Dolores before, but it was at a con that I’ve never been to! I do encourage Imperial HR cosplayers as long as you adhere to the guidelines, but that has created some confusion as they don’t always reveal they aren’t the original!
